Normal Station.
I love this area. The neighborhood is an old one but it has young spirit. Most of the homes in this area did not start going up until after World War II.
The name Normal Station is like most of the other "stations" in Memphis, it has everything to do with trains. Notice all the Stations as you ride down Southern Ave.
There are a lot of small attractions to living in this neighborhood;
I love this restaurant!!! It's old and charming and the food is great... I always get the same thing because no other Italian restaurant comes close. Like I said it's old and has not really been updated and remodeled but the ambiance... I like the way the people make you feel when you walk in the door!!! It's like they know you, that's a great feeling for a small town girl in a big city...
Then there is Audubon Park which is a wonderful place for an afternoon stroll or picnic. It also offers tennis courts, golf course and playground.
There is even a private cemetery that few know about. Guess where it is?????
There are a lot of University of Memphis students that live in this area but it is also a great place to start a family...
Campus School K-6, gets all the props here. This school received a five star rating
St. Anne K-8 comes in second with four stars
Harding Academy 4-6 is also in this area but I did not find the ratings for them
